I am always going to be a bit of a procrastiner. It is one thing to think to be organized and another to actually make it happen. This blog is for me and for all those who are procrastinators.
In many ways, this is exactly how I see most of our lives. We procrastinate on things. We procrastinate on chores. We procrastinate on our dreams. We procrastinate on our work. We procrastinate on our relationships. The things that make us procrastinate are the things that we procrastinate on the most. I guess that’s why I like the blog. I’m constantly looking for the little things to make me feel better.
The bad news? We procrastinate on just about everything. Most of us think that if we do some work, then we will feel better about ourselves and our lives. But the truth is, most of the time, we just feel worse. We feel worse about ourselves because we feel worse about our lives.
The way we feel about ourselves is called “self-awareness.” So, if you’ve got a habit that’s been bad for you for years, like procrastination, then you should consider trying to change that habit. If you know you procrastinate, then you just need to change the way you procrastinate.
But this is just a starting point. You can’t change the habits that make you feel bad about yourself. But you can change the way you feel about yourself so that you can start feeling good about yourself.
Point-by-point organization is a great tool for this. You can organize your life to make it easier to do what you want to do and to have what you want.
