This video is one of my favorite lessons I have learned. It shows me that it is okay to put myself first and know that I can do this. I find it encouraging as well as motivating to know that I have the skills and the determination to keep myself on course.
I think I learned this lesson when I first came to this company. I was working as a contractor and was tasked with doing a work of architecture for the new building. I had never done anything like this before, and I was nervous at the beginning. I was also afraid of making a mistake. But I kept my head down and tried my best.
I remember being in awe of the things I was making. I remember thinking how amazing it would be to be the owner of something so beautiful. In my head I kept telling myself, “You don’t have to be perfect, you just have to try your best.” And then, at the end of the day, I was actually very proud of what I did. I was proud of the building, and I was proud of myself for making it.
Mr. Hands, the new game in the Arkane Legacy line, is coming out very soon. The game is still under development, but according to Arkane this is the latest iteration of the game, and it’s still extremely rough. The original game had a few things that were rough: you couldn’t pick up objects, you couldn’t move the camera, and there were some other issues that I’ll get into later.
But for now, the game is still very much in it’s infancy. Right now, with the new version, its just me and my buddy going around the house, and building, and fixing things.
