It’s very difficult to come up with a good explanation for Google’s search trends on what is actually the most popular search terms. One of the most popular search terms on Google is “laptop”. If you Google “laptop”, the most popular results are not laptops, but laptops that are plugged in.

If we can figure out what people are searching for, it can be a good idea to track the trends of searches for search terms that have a similar meaning. For example, if people are looking for the same thing, you have a good chance of seeing that there are two trends. One, people are searching for how to cut the hair of a girl, so you can assume that there is a correlation between search trends and the topic of interest.
